Pricing
Information on prices, engagement models and payment terms for services provided by Invariance, sole proprietorship of Philipp Gurndin, Bolzano. Pricing is dynamic: every product and service is priced on its own terms. Unless stated otherwise, prices apply to business clients (B2B).
Dynamic pricing
Pricing at Invariance is dynamic. There is no single rate card, because no two builds are the same: an automation that replaces one recurring task and a platform an entire operation runs on differ in scope, risk and running cost, and are priced accordingly. Every product and service therefore carries its own price, and there are two ways you will see it. Where a product has a fixed, published price, that price is stated directly on the product itself — on its page or inside the application — and that is the price that applies. Everything else, including custom development, automation and integration work, is priced per engagement and agreed with you on contact, after a conversation about what the work actually involves. Nothing on this website charges you automatically. A price becomes binding only through a written offer that you have accepted.
Consumer products (B2C)
Most of what Invariance builds is bespoke engagement work for business clients, priced as described below. Some of what we build ships instead as a product sold directly to individuals — typeout is one example — and that changes how the price works. For a consumer product, the price is not negotiated. It is published on the product itself, on its website or inside the application, and that published price is what applies; the engagement-based pricing described on this page does not. Where a product is sold to a private individual rather than a business, the price shown is the total price including VAT and any other mandatory charges. Statutory consumer rights apply, including the two-year warranty. The 14-day right of withdrawal lapses once you have expressly consented to immediate delivery and acknowledged losing that right, which is what you confirm at purchase; our refund policy sets this out in full.
Engagement models
Fixed price. For a scope that can be defined in advance, a single total price is quoted for the agreed deliverables. Changes to the scope are quoted separately before they are carried out. Time and materials. For open-ended or evolving work, the work is billed at an agreed day rate recorded in the contract. Time spent is documented and invoiced periodically. Monthly retainer. For systems already delivered, operation, hosting supervision, maintenance and support are covered by a fixed monthly fee. The included services and the term are set out in the contract.
What a quote contains
Every quote states the scope, the deliverables, the timeline, the total price or the applicable day rate, and the payment schedule. A written offer is issued before any work begins. Nothing is charged before the client has accepted that offer.
Payment terms
Invoices are issued in euro (EUR). Payment is due 14 days from the invoice date unless the contract provides otherwise. Larger projects are invoiced in milestones, as a rule a deposit on signature and the balance on delivery. Bank transfer is the standard method of payment.
Taxes
Prices are quoted without VAT. Invariance applies the Italian flat-rate scheme (regime forfettario, art. 1 commi 54-89 L. 190/2014), so no Italian VAT (IVA) is charged on its invoices. Invoices above €77.47 carry a €2 stamp duty (imposta di bollo). Invoices to clients in Italy are issued as electronic invoices through the Sistema di Interscambio (SdI). For business clients in other EU member states, services are not subject to Italian VAT (Art. 7-ter DPR 633/1972); the client accounts for the VAT in its own country and must provide a valid VAT identification number. The Partita IVA of Invariance is IT 03360290211.
Ongoing costs
Some projects require hosting, third-party services or paid API usage. These costs are passed on to the client and itemised separately on the invoice. No mark-up is applied unless the contract expressly provides for one.
